Educational Principles
As an institution of learning and leadership development, Light & Life Bible College has as its intention to graduate students who have grown and developed as a result of the time invested at the college. This is framed by our educational philosophy, then explained in our goals, and objectives.
A Biblical/ Christian Emphasis
As a Bible College committed to quality in all that we do, we have a distinctive educational philosophy. A major focus of our program is the direct study of the Scriptures as the final authority in all that they affirm.
Undergraduate College Level
We have a commitment to a level of academic programming appropriate to institutions of higher education. Our faculty possesses appropriate academic qualifications and an increasing number have terminal degrees in their field.
The Role of Analytical and Critical Thinking
We believe that all truth has God as its ultimate source and needs to be pursued with honest, thorough and open inquiry. At the same time, we recognize the limitations of individuals in the process of determining what relevant information is and how we interpret that information.
Holistic Education
We seek to educate the whole person: spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. The curricular , co-curricular, and extra curricular activities are all intended to contribute to this in the life of a student.
Curriculum
We believe the best curriculum is a balance between courses in Biblical Studies, General Education, and the specific Major selected by a student. Our majors have been selected to form a balance between providing an opportunity for students to develop a focus in a preferred area leading to career development and an opportunity for service to the church and community.
